New oven!

Today our new oven was delivered.  I am 49 years old and have never had my own new oven.  Mark let me pick out whatever I wanted.  Due to the lack of add-ons with my old oven, I had a list of had-to-haves with the new one.  Like a window in the door, a light and a thermostat that actually works.  So, I made cookies!

A bit of quiet time

Last night, I wanted to sit quietly with some soft music and cucumber slices on my eyes.  Didn't go as expected.  Ondine was very interest and/or concerned about me.  FYI, she loves to eat them.

One year ago today, we adopted our sweet dog, Ondine.  There have been some ups and downs, but we love her so much.  She has become Mark's best friend and I am second on her list of friends.  She loves to run after the tennis ball and never tires.  She is SO smart and has learned many commands.  She knows when it's bedtime and takes herself off to bed when she feels tired.  We are still working on her issue with moving objects, mostly cars.  This will be a lifelong trial for us all.  Happy adoption day, Ondine!
